What is meant by six way adjustable trigger?
Basically, the trigger is designed to be almost completely adjustable for any possible variant. There are six attributes of adjustment which include:
Initial Position: The initial rest position is where the trigger sits when it is at rest in a fully forward location, towards the barrel of the gun.
Initial Take-up Force: The main spring in the center portion dictates the amount of take-up force, which is the amount of force needed to reposition the trigger away from the barrel of the gun, up to the simulated sear. There are two ways of adjusting this feature. One is simply to reposition the center fulcrum bar downward to increase the amount of force. The second way to adjust the force is to simply add additional springs in the top location. The force can adjust all the way up to 20 pounds for very specific training drills.
Sear Engagement Location: The sear engagement location is the upper left-hand cam which raises and lowers the simulated sear member and adjusts exactly where the tongue of the trigger engages the sear. When the trigger tongue engages the sear member, there is a distinct increase of force required to "break the trigger".
Degree of Sear Engagement: The degree of sear engagement is the space between the trigger tongue and the internal sear member when the trigger tongue first hits the sear member. In other words, a high degree of sear engagement means the trigger tongue slides across the sear for longer before breaking. A lower degree of engagement means the sear engagement has to travel a smaller distance in order to make the trigger break.
Degree of Sear Force: This adjustment feature is in the upper left-hand portion, which adjusts the spring element of the simulated sear member. A low amount of sear force means the sear will reposition more easily to break the trigger, and a higher degree of sear force means it takes a greater amount of force to break the trigger. The above factors work cumulatively for different effects, whereby a lighter sear force with greater sear engagement will have different properties than a greater amount of sear force with less sear engagement.
Over-travel: The over-travel cam also operates as a switch that activates the shot indicating laser ( the green laser). However, the amount of over-travel past the breakpoint can be adjusted to have a smaller or greater amount of over-travel.
