Why isn't there a targeting system with the SIRT?
Actually, anything anywhere can serve as a targeting system, and any object downstream of the muzzle is a target. We all have visual peripheral flash impulse memory, which helps us remember where the laser hits the target while maintaining a front sight focus, or if you are target focus shooter you will also have awareness of the laser. Practically speaking, shooting at a proprietary target gets boring after a while and takes too long to set up for short training sessions. So it is desirable to minimize the time it takes to begin a training session. Elaborate targeting systems have their place in the market; however, they require a designated room, are very expensive and are limited to the graphics and targeting system provided with that system. We are also dissatisfied with the guns provided with those systems, namely the weight, lack of actual recoil (considering the bulk of air systems), the trigger properties, etc.
